The Ducati 749R was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2006. Max torque was 59.01 ft/lbs (80.0 Nm) @ 8500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 118.01 HP (88.0 KW) @ 10250 RPM.

A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 748.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a gear transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multi-plate, hydraulic control.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Ohlins fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a fully-adjustable Ohlins monoshock with progressive linkage. The 749R was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.
