The Ducati 749s was a v2, four-stroke sport motorcycle produced between 2003 and 2006. Max torque was 6.2 ft/lbs (8.4 Nm) @ 8500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 112.11 HP (83.6 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 90.0mm bore x 58.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 748.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 12.3:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the dry multiplate with hydraulic control.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a showa 43 mm upside-down fully adjustable fork with tin surface treatment while the rear was equiped with a progressive linkage with fully adjustable showa monoshock. The 749s was fitted with a 4.09 Gallon (15.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 410.06 pounds (186.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.
