The 2001 MY Ducati 750SS I.E. sports a fuel-injected, air-cooled, four-stroke, 748cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, that can reach a maximum power output of 64 horsepower and 62 Nm of torque.

Standard features include three-spoked, cast-aluminium wheels, a dual seat with passenger grab handles, dual front disc brakes with Brembo calipers, a fully-adjustable upside-down front fork, an adjustable monoshock with a progressive linkage as a rear suspension and a digital instrument cluster. Also, this machine can be purchased either with a full-fairing or a half-fairing, upon customer request, both of which include a windscreen.
