A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 848.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, Brembo Monobloc in the front and a single 245mm disc, Brembo Monobloc in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Showa fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.
2010 Ducati 848 Dark[edit | edit source]
The Dark version of the Ducati 848 is for those riders who want an aggressive and dark sportbike, that has a black finish on all of its components, except the rear monoshock. Standard features include Marchesini wheels, a MotoGP-derived braking system with Brembo Monobloc calipers, a fully-adjustable 43mm Showa upside-down fork, a fully-adjustable Showa monoshock in the rear with a progressive linkage, an under-seat mounted, dual exhaust system and a two-piece, dual seat.
Also, it can reach a maximum power output of 134 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque from its four-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 848cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic engine, that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
