The Ducati 916SP3 was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 1997. Claimed horsepower was 131.02 HP (97.7 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 916.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/50 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork, TiN-coated while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage.

The 1997 MY Ducati 916SP3 boasts a maximum power output of 131 horsepower at 10500 rpm from its fuel-injected, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 916cc, 90-degree desmodromic V-Twin engine that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.

It also comes with features such as an Ohlins adjustable monoshock with progressive cantilever linkage as a rear suspension, the TiN-coated Showa upside-down fork, Brembo brakes both in the front and in the rear, cast-magnesium wheels, as well as the latest technologies developed by Ducati's racing team.
