The Ducati 996S was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2002. Max torque was 73.02 ft/lbs (99.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 111.98 HP (83.5 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, hydraulic.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/50 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork, TiN-coated while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins adjustable monoshock with progressive cantilever linkage. The wheelbase was 55.51 inches (1410 mm) long.

It boasts a maximum power output of 112 horsepower and 99 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 996cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
