The engine was a liquid cooled Ducati Testastretta DVT, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valves per cylinder, Dual Spark, Liquid cooled, Desmodromic Variable. A 106.7mm bore x 106.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1262.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.
