The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the APTC wet multiplate with hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 -ZR17 front tire and a 160/55 -ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The 2011 MY Ducati Monster 796 Rossi MotoGP Replica is a special kit and paint-scheme, inspired by the machine rode by Valentino "The Doctor" Rossi in MotoGP,. This kit is applied to the tank panels, a micro-fairing, a single seat cover and front mudguard, and mainly consists of the Doctor's official number. In all other departments, it comes with the same features as the base model.
