Engine

A 91.4mm bore x 91.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 904.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fullly-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The 2000 MY Ducati Monster 900ie, as the name suggests, has been fitted with an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, which allow a more balanced power output, as well as increase fuel-efficiency, no matter the atmospheric conditions. Other features include a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork, a Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage, Brembo brakes with dual discs, a steel trellis frame, a dual exhaust system, a single seat, analogue and digital instrumentation dials and cast-aluminum wheels.

In the engine department it is powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled, 904cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, that can produce a claimed 78 horsepower and 72 Nm of torque.
