Drive

The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual, hydraulic control.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston Brembo calipers, ABS in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 50mm Marzocchi fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The wheelbase was 60.2 inches (1529 mm) long.

2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200S

The 2010 MY Ducati Multistrada 1200S is a more maneuverable and powerful version of the 1200, suitable for those riders who want a zero-compromise machine. Unlike the base model, it has been fitted with a 48mm fully-adjustable Sachs upside-down telescopic front fork with electronic compression and Ducati Skyhook Suspension, a fully-adjustable monoshock in the rear with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension electronic adjustment, which allows for a higher ground clearance and seat height.

In the engine department it is powered by a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 1198cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant, paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, that can produce a claimed 150 horsepower and 119 Nm of torque.

2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200S

The 2011 MY Ducati Multistrada 1200S boasts a maximum power output of 150 horsepower and 119 Nm of torque from its four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 1078cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant that was paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.

Also, it has a 48mm fully-adjustable Sachs upside-down telescopic front fork with electronic compression and Ducati Skyhook Suspension, a fully-adjustable monoshock in the rear with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension electronic adjustment, which allows for a higher ground clearance and seat height, which makes for a more maneuverable and differentiates the S model from the base Multistrada 1200.

2012 Ducati Multistrada 1200S

The 2012 MY Ducati MUltistrada 1200S comes with a 48mm fully-adjustable Sachs upside-down telescopic front fork with electronic compression and Ducati Skyhook Suspension, a fully-adjustable monoshock in the rear with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension electronic adjustment, which allows for a higher ground clearance and seat height, which makes for a more maneuverable and differentiates the S model from the base Multistrada 1200.

In addition, it has, at its heart, a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 1078cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerhouse that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 150 horsepower and 119 Nm of torque.
