Detroit Harley-Davidson dealer from the 1930s, who set transcontinental records solo and with his wife Dot. He rode the 3,000 miles (4828km) from New York to Los Angeles on a tuned 45 in 3 days 610 hours in 1935, then made the same run with Dot, setting a sidecar record.
