The Gilera ER 125 was a Single cylinder, two stroke, air cooled Enduro motorcycle produced by Gilera in 1987. Max torque was 11.06 ft/lbs (15.0 Nm) @ 8800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 20.65 HP (15.4 KW) @ 9200 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.75-21 front tire and a 4.60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 240 mm in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Alloy swing arm adjustable single shock. The ER 125 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The engine is the latest evolution of the KZ / KK road engine and is equipped with an APTS mechanical exhaust valve. Compared to the cousin, the engine adopts a new heat pump, a different carburetor for the Dell'Orto PHBH 28 carburetor and a new exhaust system suitable for an enduro. Obviously there are different internal and external gear ratios. The tests detect a maximum wheel power of 21.95 cv and a maximum speed of 133.3 km / h.
