The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90 -21 front tire and a 120/80 -17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 260mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the front and a 160mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a 38mm Marzocchi telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable monoshock.

The 1988 MY Gilera ER 350 Dakota is a middle-class off-road machine, suitable for all sorts of riders, from the young and inexperienced ones, to the seasoned ones that prefer agility over raw power. It has, at its heart, a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 349cc, single cylinder powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission and can reach a maximum power output of 39 horsepower at 7750 rpm.

This machine also boasts standard fittings such as a race-inspired livery, a dual seat, a rear luggage rack, laced wheels, off-road tires, a square headlight, a front disc brake coupled to a rear drum, a 38mm Marzocchi telescopic fork, an adjustable monoshock as a rear suspension and an analogue instrument cluster.
