It came with a 100/80 -16 front tire and a 130/70 -17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 300mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the front and a single 240mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 40mm upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a vertical monoshock.

The 1992 MY Gilera Freestyle 125 has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, 124cc, single cylinder powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 29 horsepower and 20 Nm of torque.
In addition, this entry-level machine has been fitted with a 40mm upside-down telescopic front fork, a vertical monoshock as a rear suspension, front and rear disc brakes, a single seat, an under-seat exhaust system, die-cast aluminum wheels, wide handlebars, analogue instrumentation dials and an engine mudguard.
