The Harley-Davidson Softail Fat Boy was a v2, four-stroke custom / cruiser motorcycle produced between 1990 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 107 mph (173 km/h). Max torque was 106.95 ft/lbs (145.0 Nm) @ 3000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 84.22 HP (62.8 KW) @ 5020 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 100.0mm bore x 111.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1746.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 10.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the multi-plate with diaphragm spring in oil bath.

Chassis

It came with a 160/60-r18 front tire and a 240/40-r18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. 4-piston. in the front and a single disc. abs. 2-piston. in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a twin shocks. The Softail Fat Boy was fitted with a 5.0 Gallon (18.93 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 670.21 pounds (304.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 65.55 inches (1665 mm) long.
