The Harley-Davidson FXSTB Softail Night Train was a v2, four-stroke custom / cruiser motorcycle produced between 1998 and 2009. It could reach a top speed of 106 mph (170 km/h). Max torque was 86.3 ft/lbs (117.0 Nm) @ 3200 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 61.69 HP (46.0 KW) @ 5300 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 95.3mm bore x 111.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1584.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 9.2:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate.

Chassis

It came with a mt90-21 front tire and a 200/55-r17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41.3mm telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a hidden, horizontal-mounted, coil-over. The FXSTB Softail Night Train was fitted with a 4.99 Gallon (18.90 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 668.0 pounds (303.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 66.93 inches (1700 mm) long.
