The Honda CB1100 EX was a in-line four, four-stroke Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Honda between 1980 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 176 mph (283 km/h). Max torque was 67.34 ft/lbs (91.3 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 86.63 HP (64.6 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a oil & air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 73.5mm bore x 67.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1140.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multi-plate wet clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/80-r18 front tire and a 140/70-r18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. floating discs. four-piston calipers. abs. in the front and a single disc. single-piston. abs. in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm conventional fork with adjustable spring preload while the rear was equipped with a twin shocks with adjustable spring preload. The CB1100 EX was fitted with a 4.44 Gallon (16.80 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 571.0 pounds (259.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.66 inches (1490 mm) long.

An exclusive treat for European markets only, the 2013 CB1100EX brings even more retro styling elements in the spotlight, making this new air-cooled CB shine even brighter. This model comes with a redesigned fuel tank that's a bit larger than the stock one, revised sidepanels and seat, a passenger grab handle and a raised headlight.

But the most noticeable improvement is represented by the wire spoke wheels and the dual exhaust, two aspects which leave room for no identifying mistakes.

The new 2017 Honda CB1100RS, which it added to the lineup alongside a refresh to the base model CB1100EX. The base model EX gets the same new tank, but ditches the fancy paint. It gets LED lights front and rear, but keeps the standard indicators, and it retains the previous model's 18 inch wheels, suspension, and brakes. It does, however, get the slipper clutch and new exhaust.

For 2017 the CB1100 EX gets all the same upgrades as the RS, but continues on with redesigned 18-inch spoke wheels wearing 110/80 R18 and 140/70 R18 tires. Smaller aluminum hubs lace the wheel rim with 40 longer stainless steel (rather than 48 before) zinc-plated spokes. Twin 296mm floating discs up front are mated to four-piston Nissin calipers, with a 256mm disc and single-piston caliper at the rear. ABS is standard.
