The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 73.0mm bore x 80.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 670.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. abs. two-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm fork while the rear was equipped with a pro-link single shock. The CTX700 DCT was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 60.2 inches (1529 mm) long.

2016 Honda CTX700Edit
The 2016 CTX700 offers an automatic transmission and ABS version at a low base MSRP. With the DCT automatic transmission, you can shift with the push of a handlebar-mounted button, or select the automatic mode and the bike will shift itself. Plus, you get Anti-Lock Brakes for improved stopping in less than ideal conditions.
