The Honda VT 500 C Shadow was a Liquid cooled, four stroke, 52°V-twin, SOHC, 3 valves per cylinder Cruiser motorcycle produced by Honda in 1983. Max torque was 30.98 ft/lbs (42.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 47.47 HP (35.4 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

Engine

A 68.6mm bore x 68.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 491.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 130/90-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 2 piston caliper in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Air assisted telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Pivoted fork dual adjustable shocks.
