The Honda XR400 (designated XR400R'96) was a development of the motosport series of previous years. It was sold in 1996. One color was available: Ross White. This was an all new lightweight, midweight XR. The rear sub frame was removable. The swingarm pivot was combined with the rear engine mount. A high performance power kit was also available.
