The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 54.0mm bore x 54.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.8 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 8.8:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
