The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 105.0mm bore x 80.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 690.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the aptc slipper clutch, hydraulically actuated.

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 140/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. brembo twin-piston floating calliper. optional abs. in the front and a single disc. brembo single-piston floating calliper. optional abs. in the rear. The front suspension was a wp usd ø 48 mm while the rear was equipped with a wp shock absorber with pro-lever linkage. The 690 Enduro R was fitted with a 3.57 Gallon (13.50 Liters) fuel tank.
