The Kawasaki ER-6f was a twin, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 2006 and 2017. Max torque was 47.21 ft/lbs (64.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 70.54 HP (52.6 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 83.0mm bore x 60.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 649.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 160/60-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. dual piston in the front and a single disc. single pistom in the rear. The front suspension was a 41 mm telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a offset laydown single-shock with adjustable preload: 7-way. The ER-6f was fitted with a 4.23 Gallon (16.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 392.42 pounds (178.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 55.51 inches (1410 mm) long.

The 2005 Kawasaki ER-6f is the sportier-looking version of the ER-6n bike. Building on the proven performance and reliability of the latter, the ER-6f comes with a more extensive bodywork offering better protection against wind, including an aerodynamic windshield.

The front cowl sports a one-piece headlight and a classic 2-gauge instrument cluster. The two-tone seat design give the impression of a seat cover, stressing the sporty appealing look.

The engine is consistent with the ER series: a 4 stroke parallel-twin 649cc delivering 72 PS and excellent mid-range grit, with electronic fuel injection and a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2006 Kawasaki ER-6f is the fairing version of the ER-6n, sporting various sport enhancements, such as better protection against weather thanks to the bodywork, an aerodynamic windshield, optional ABS and a fine-tuned engine.

The ER-6f is powered by the same 4-stroke parallel-twin 649cc engine like the naked model, and the 72 PS power output remained unchanged. Like the modern ER bikes, the engine has been tuned for a smooth power delivery in the low-rpm range, while being gritty and fun to ride in the middle-rev section, offering a ton of cross-town fun.

A lot of optional accessories are available for the 2006 ER-6f to make it more comfortable and even turn it into a touring-fit bike.

The 2007 Kawasaki ER-6f sports a more aggressively-styled bodywork which offers eye-pleasing looks and better protection against weather. While the overall styling brings the bike closer to the Ninja ZX-6R seris, it remains a worthy member of the ER-series, with the iconic offset rear shock and excellent handling in the city area.

The 2008 Kawasaki ER-6f brings a total remake of the bodywork, now sporting a modern, edgy design with dual headlights and a completely redesigned front end. Even more,t he LCD instrument cluster was changed, now boasting an orange backlit screen offering a lot of riding data.

The supersport-inspired styling is backed by several engineering upgrades, such as the Euro-III-compliant 300-cell catalytic converter silencer with a smaller profile and less weight.

A 4-stroke parallel-twin 469cc liquid-cooled engine provides 72 PS to a 6-speed gearbox and chain final transmission, all with a mid-range-oriented torque and power deployment for enjoyable rides at moderate speed.

The 2009 Kawasaki ER-6f brings optional ABS to the lost of nice features for the discerning rider. This naked bike now comes with a racing-inspired all-in-one LCD screen instrument cluster and a sporty full fairing for better wind protection.

The redesigned front cowl houses a 2-piece headlight and a stylish windshield, while the rubber-isolated foot pegs provide better vibration absorption. The 2009 ER-6f comes with a 649cc parallel-twin engine delivering 72 PS to a6-speed gearbox and chain final drive. The offset rear shock on the right side of the bike is a trademark of the series and comes with adjustable pre-load.

Continuing the trend of the sporty attitude of the 2009 model, the 2010 Kawasaki ER-6f takes things further refining the design with minute touches in key places. The 649cc 4-stroke parallel-twin engine retains the 72 PS power rating and the mid-range grit making the riders love it for cross-town daily commuting.

The sportbike-inspired full fairing comes with an aggressive cowl and a windscreen with a mid-placed aid duct to reduce high-speed buffeting. The petal rotor brakes can receive an optional ABS system for an even better stopping force, while the rubber mounts add to the comfort.

The short, low-mounted silencer keeps the center of gravity low and grants better handling in both fast and slow turns,a dding to the excitement the 2010 ER-6f provides.

The 2011 Kawasaki ER-6f comes with an updated fairing, an all-new twin-tubular frame with matching swingarm, taking this naked bike in a new, modern era. The power unit has remained basically the same, but has received some tweaks for more torque in lower-range rpm, since most ER-6f owners use the bike for everyday rides.

The seat received a redesign, and so did the instrument cluster, now sporting an analog tachometer and a multi-function LCD screen. The new exhaust makes the 2011 ER-6f Euro-III-compliant, and the optional ABS increases the safety when braking hard.


2013 Kawasaki ER-6f

Building on the awesome 2011 model, the 2012 Kawasaki ER-6f sports the same twin-tube perimeter frame and similar-design swingarm offering a lighter, more rigid construction for this naked bike and improving handling at both low and high speed.

The full-size fairing brings the 2012 ER-6f closer to the highly-revered ZX-6R and ZX-10R, with the edgy, aggressive styling and neatly-trimmed shapes. The front turning signals are flush with the fairing and sport the same styling as the dual-piece headlight loaded in a contrasting-color cowl.

A taller tank lets the rider grip the bike better with the knees and offers a more comfortable riding position. The 2012 Kawasaki ER-6f is powered by the same parallel-twin 649cc engine offering up to 72 PS.

The MY Kawasaki ER-6f it is a versatile motorcycle built with agility in mind. The motorcycle is built around a 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel twin, DOHC engine which delivers a maximum power of 72.1 PS at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine’s power is transferred to the rear wheel by means of a six speed transmission with wet multi-disc clutch.
