The Kawasaki GPZ500S was a twin, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1987 and 2004. It could reach a top speed of 117 mph (188 km/h). Max torque was 34.0 ft/lbs (46.1 Nm) @ 8500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 58.74 HP (43.8 KW) @ 9800 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 74.0mm bore x 58.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.

Chassis

It came with a 110/70-h17 front tire and a 130/70-h17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The GPZ500S was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 392.42 pounds (178.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.5 inches (1435 mm) long.
