The Kawasaki KH125 was a single cylinder, two-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1977 and 1980. It could reach a top speed of 62 mph (100 km/h). Max torque was 8.11 ft/lbs (11.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 9.79 HP (7.3 KW) @ 6300 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 56.0mm bore x 50.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 125.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a rotary valves.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wep multi-plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.75-18 front tire and a 3.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The front suspension was a Hydraulic discs while the rear was equipped with a Shock absorber. The KH125 was fitted with a 3.04 Gallon (11.50 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 49.61 inches (1260 mm) long.

1978 - 1982 Kawasaki KH 125[edit | edit source]

1978 - 1982 Kawasaki KH 125

The 1978 Kawasaki KH 125 was created in an era when the Japanese factories dominated the ride-to-work market. Bikes like the Kawasaki KH 125 were meant to survive daily use, enjoy very little maintenance and return 65 mpg at a steady 88.5 Km (55 mph). Even a battered example can still get you home, eventually.
