The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 88.0mm bore x 66.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 805.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.
ChassisEdit
It came with a 130/90-h16 front tire and a 140/90-h16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The VN800 Drifter was fitted with a 3.96 Gallon (15.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 542.34 pounds (246.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 63.58 inches (1615 mm) long.
