The Kawasaki Z900RS was a in-line four, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1975 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h). Max torque was 72.65 ft/lbs (98.5 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 107.68 HP (80.3 KW) @ 8500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 73.4mm bore x 56.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 948.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. four-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a 41 mm inverted fork with compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability while the rear was equipped with a horizontal back-link, gas-charged shock with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. The Z900RS was fitted with a 4.5 Gallon (17.03 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 57.87 inches (1470 mm) long.

Thanks to its in-line four engine, the Z900 naked motorcycle, manufactured by Kawasaki between 1975 and 1979, us able to reach a top speed of 217 km/h.
2017 Kawasaki Z900RS[edit | edit source]
The RS gets an upgrade in the braking department, with a radially mounted four piston monoblock front setup instead of the Z900's traditional twin four-piston setup. Additionally, the Z900RS is will have traction control, which for some reason did not make it onto the Z900.
