Engine

A 76.2mm bore x 76.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi disc.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front tire and a 190/55ZR17M/C (75W) rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual semi-floating 330 mm Brembo discs. Caliper: Dual radial-mount, Brembo M50 monobloc, opposed 4-piston in the front and a Single 220 mm petal disc. Caliper: Single-bore pin-slide, aluminum piston in the rear. The front suspension was a 43 mm inverted fork with rebound and compression damping, spring preload adjustability and top-out springs while the rear was equipped with a Horizontal Back-link with gas-charged shock and top-out spring. Compression damping: Stepless, dual-range (high/low-speed). Rebound damping: Stepless. Spring preload: Fully adjustable. The wheelbase was 56.69 inches (1440 mm) long.

The 2018 model features two updates for the coming season, both of which involve color changes to components. The reservoir canisters behind the lower part of the front fork legs change from a red appearance to silver. At the top of the fork leg, the fork top cap is now green where it was previously also red.
