The Kawasaki ZZR1200 was a in-line four, four-stroke Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 2003 and 2005. It could reach a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h). Max torque was 90.72 ft/lbs (123.0 Nm) @ 8200 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 151.94 HP (113.3 KW) @ 9800 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 79.0mm bore x 59.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1160.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 180/55-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a cartridge-style fork with preload adjustment while the rear was equipped with a uni-trak® system with remote reservoir shock with preload adjustment. The ZZR1200 was fitted with a 6.1 Gallon (23.08 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 520.07 pounds (235.9 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.29 inches (1506 mm) long.
2003 - 2005 Kawasaki ZZR 1200
The Kawasaki ZZR 1200 is a sport motorcycle which was kept in production for approximately two years, between 2003 and 2005.
2004 Kawasaki ZZR1200
The 2003 Kawasaki ZZR1200 is a comfortable sport-touring bike for cross-continent road fun, powered by a supersport 1164cc engine with Twin Ram Air and throttle position sensors. Dual massive 320mm front brake discs and a 250mm rear one deliver the needed stopping force.
While other motorcycles offer the 12V outlet as an optional accessory, the 2003 ZZR1200 has it as a standard equipment, in the under-seat storage area. The fluid-line tank can hold up to 23 L of fuel for serious touring capabilities, while the stepless rear shock can be easily adjusted for two-up touring, solo sport rides and even daily commuting.
The 2003 Kawasaki ZZR1200 comes with a no-nonsense 152 PS power output and plenty of torque without having to rev the engine to the red zone.
