1977 - 1980 Laverda 500 Formula
The Laverda 500 Formula is a limited edition race-derived machine, with a production of just 210 units between 1977 and 1980. It addressed the more adventurous among Laverda fans, and not only, boasting race-derived parts such as the Marzocchi telescopic front fork, the adjustable Marzocchi dual shock absorbers in the rear, and a Brembo braking system with dual 260 mm discs in the front and a single 260 mm disc in the rear.
At its heart lies an air-cooled, four-stroke, 497cc, parallel twin cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission. Also, it weighed only 172 kg, making it one of the most agile half-liter available on the market.
