A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 497.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a gears transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-18 front tire and a 3.25-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 260mm discs in the front and a single 260mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Marzocchi dual shocks with 5-way spring preload adjustment.

The 1979 MY Laverda Montjuic MK I is one of the most powerful half-liters designed by the Italian up to date. It sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 497cc, parallel twin cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce 58 horsepower. It came standard with Marzocchi telescopic forks, Marzocchi dual shocks with five-way spring preload adjustment and a Brembo braking system composed of dual 260 mm discs in the front and a single 260 mm rear disc. In addition, five-spoked, cast-alloy wheels, are standard and it could be purchased only in a race-derived orange paint scheme.
