A 87.9mm bore x 87.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 949.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90 H18 front tire and a 110/100 H18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double disc 300 mm, 2 piston calipers in the front and a Single 242 mm,disc 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 35 mm telescopic non adjustable while the rear was equipped with a Dual dampers adjustable for spring preload.
1978 - 1983 Moto Guzzi 1000SP[edit | edit source]
The 1000 cc engine on the Moto Guzzi 1000 SP pushed out about 75 HP (56 Kw), yielding a top speed of 186 Km (116 mph). The bike weighed 209 Kg (460 pounds) dry and according to contemporary reviews, had good handling and a fantastic integrated braking system.
