Overview

Moto Guzzi V 11 Sport Rosso Mandello

Moto Guzzi engineers did their best with limited resources to produce the V11, a naked retro sportster based around the firm's air-cooled V-twin powertrain. Quality chassis parts, including Brembo Oro brakes, Marzocchi upside-down forks and a WP rear shock help bring the basic chassis up to a respectable level of performance.

Despite the engine and frame being based on a 30-year-old design, the V11 rides well. An updated six-speed gearbox and lightened clutch action are a big improvement over previous models, and the fuel-injection system is smooth and hiccup-free. An enclosed shaft delivers drive to the rear wheel. A limited-edition Mandello Rosso version has special paint and carbon-fibre performance parts.
