The Piaggio Liberty 50 was a single cylinder, two-stroke scooter motorcycle produced between 2005 and 2013. Max torque was 3.47 ft/lbs (4.7 Nm) @ 6750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 4.56 HP (3.4 KW) @ 7250 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 40.0mm bore x 39.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.4 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 10.3:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the dry automatic centrifugal type.

Chassis

It came with a 90/80-16 front tire and a 110/80-14 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. calliper with opposed pistons in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a hydraulic monoshock,. The Liberty 50 was fitted with a 1.59 Gallon (6.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 191.8 pounds (87.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 52.36 inches (1330 mm) long.
