The Suzuki GS 550E was a Air Cooled, Four Stroke, Transverse Four Cylinders, DOHC, 2 Valves Per Cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Suzuki in 1978. Max torque was 30.98 ft/lbs (42.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 48.95 HP (36.5 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 549.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.25-19 front tire and a 3.75-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x275mm Discs 1 Piston Calipers in the front and a Single 275mm Disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic Fork while the rear was equipped with a Swinging Arm Fork With Hydraulic Shock Absorbers. The wheelbase was 56.5 inches (1435 mm) long.
