Finally listening to the countless demands from V-Strom enthusiasts who complained about the poor performance of the cast wheels on rougher roads, Suzuki decided to equip wire-spoked rims on a bike which became the 2015 V-Strom 650 XT ABS. And because this was a bold step outside the traditional V-Strom path, Hamamatsu decided to go all the way.

The V-Strom 650 XT ABS was equipped with aluminum panniers and topcase, crashbars, an aluminum engine shield, auxiliary lights,a revised seat and an adjustable windscreen. Nobody knows why they also chose to add the beak, but it's most likely an attempt to play in line with the iconic BMW adventure machines. Adjustable suspensions, ABS and a rich instrument cluster are still stock.
