Essentially a budget version of the Thunderbird, the Legend was introduced in 1998 in two versions. The basic Legend TT had 43cm (17in) wire-spoked wheels and an extra-low seat height. The Legend Deluxe had an even lower seat, and came with two-tone paintwork. Both bikes shared the 885cc liquid-cooled triple engine of the Thunderbird, its 69 HP (51 Kw) and torque power delivery giving relatively sprightly performance.

The Triumph Legend TT was a in-line three, four-stroke standard produced by Triumph between 1999 and 2001. It could reach a top speed of 118 mph (190 km/h). Max torque was 53.11 ft/lbs (72.0 Nm) @ 4800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 67.59 HP (50.4 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
