The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 52.4mm bore x 57.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 125.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

It came with a 120/70-12 front tire and a 130/70-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable dual shock unit swingarm. The BWS125 was fitted with a 1.72 Gallon (6.50 Liters) fuel tank.
