The Yamaha DT 230 LANZA was a Single cylinder, two stroke, liquid-cooled Enduro motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1997. Max torque was 27.29 ft/lbs (37.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 39.96 HP (29.8 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Two stroke, single-cylinder.. The engine featured a 6.5:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 4.60-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Oil telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Motocross. The DT230 Lanza was fitted with a 11 Liters / 2.9 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 121 kg / 266.7 lbs.

Overview[edit | edit source]
Designed for the Japanese market where users generally avoid models with a large chassis and high seat height, this lightweight, compact trail model debuted in 1997. It had a 2-stroke 224cc single-cylinder engine fitted with a traction control system, a newly designed frame, front and rear suspensions providing a good combination of cushioning performance and ease of leg reach to the ground, a multi-function digital instrument panel and more. It was packed full of performance and functions to heighten the joy of riding and operating the machine. The DT230 is the 1998 version that was equipped with an aluminum swingarm and the Yamaha Computerized Lubrication System (YCLS) that controlled the amount of lubrication oil used by the engine.
