The Yamaha FJ-09 was a in-line three, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2015 and 2018. Max torque was 45.36 ft/lbs (61.5 Nm) @ 8480 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 112.51 HP (83.9 KW) @ 10120 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line three, four-stroke. A 78.0mm bore x 59.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 847.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multi-plate assist and slipper wet clutch.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. hydraulic. in the front and a single disc. hydraulic. in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm fork, adjustable preload and rebound damping while the rear was equipped with a single shock, adjustable preload and rebound damping. The FJ-09 was fitted with a 4.8 Gallon (18.17 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 56.69 inches (1440 mm) long.
2015 - 2017 Yamaha FJ-09[edit | edit source]
The Yamaha FJ-09 is a Sport Touring bike, sold from year 2016. This model it is equipped with a 847cc liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder, DOHC, 12-valve engine with fuel injection. This engine combines advanced high tech components including YCC-T and Yamaha D-Mode with a crossplane crankshaft concept to deliver an exciting, torquey and quick-revving engine character.
