The Yamaha FJ 1300A was a Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 2003. Max torque was 92.2 ft/lbs (125.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 144.96 HP (108.1 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1298.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 320 mm in the front and a Single disc 283 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a 48mm upside-down telescopic fork w/adjustable preload, compression and rebound damping while the rear was equipped with a Single shock, link-type, w/adjustable preload and rebound damping. The wheelbase was 60.79 inches (1544 mm) long.
