The Yamaha MT-09 TR was a in-line three, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2013 and 2019. Max torque was 64.54 ft/lbs (87.5 Nm) @ 8900 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 112.51 HP (83.9 KW) @ 10000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line three, four-stroke. A 78.0mm bore x 59.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 847.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate assist and slipper clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. hydraulic. abs. in the front and a single disc. hydraulic. abs. in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm inverted fork, adjustable preload and rebound damping while the rear was equipped with a single shock, adjustable preload and rebound damping. The MT-09 TR was fitted with a 4.8 Gallon (18.17 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 418.88 pounds (190.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.06 inches (1500 mm) long.

The 2014 Yamaha MT-09 is the European version of the FZ-09, and it shares the might and road aggressivity of the latter. Created to ridge the gap between the 600cc-class and the liter-class machines, this naked streetfighter aims to add more riding options for customers: it can be a very good machine for track days, daily commuting and can even be used for sport-touring purposes..

Powered by Yamaha's first 3-cylinder engine, the 2014 MT-09 provides 115 HP and comes with a 6-speed manual transmission win chain final. ABS is optional.
