The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.

It came with a 3.00-18 front [[tire]] and a 3.25-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single Disc in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a  Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Monocross.

The standard two stroke RZ 250R makes 35 HP but, with it’s dry weight of just 139 kg; it gets along very well and will reach around 170 kph plus.
These have always been very popular bikes for racing and modification so there are plenty of after market parts for extra power, better handling and cosmetic upgrades.
