The Yamaha SRX250 was a single cylinder, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1984 and 1987. It could reach a top speed of 85 mph (136 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 16.63 HP (12.4 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 73.0mm bore x 59.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 250.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-16 front tire and a 100/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear.

1984 - 1990 Yamaha SRX 250[edit | edit source]

Introduced to the world in 1984, the SRX 250 had an air cooled, four stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 249cc engine.
