The Yamaha U7E was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Yamaha between 1972 and 1973. It could reach a top speed of 53 mph (85 km/h). Max torque was 4.72 ft/lbs (6.4 Nm) @ 4500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 4.83 HP (3.6 KW) @ 6500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 47.0mm bore x 42.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 72.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 3-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 225-17 front tire and a 250-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The U7E was fitted with a 1.19 Gallon (4.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 169.76 pounds (77.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 46.26 inches (1175 mm) long.
