The engine was an air cooled, four-stroke V-twin. A 95.0mm bore x 69.2mm stroke result in a displacement of 981.0 cubic centimeters. Chain driven single camshaft with rockers, 2 valves per clinder.

The bike has a 5-speed transmission with wet clutch and shaft drive.

It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 140/90-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). 0in the rear.
