The Yamaha XVS 400 DRAGSTAR was a Air Cooled, Four Stroke, V-twin Cylinder Cruiser motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1997. Max torque was 23.6 ft/lbs (32.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 32.99 HP (24.6 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

A 67.8mm bore x 67.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-Speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90-16 front tire and a 170/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 298 Mm Disc With 2 Piston Caliper in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic Fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm Monoscross. The wheelbase was 63.39 inches (1610 mm) long.

The Yamaha DragStar XVS 400 in available in the Standard and Classic versions, it´s Identical to the XVS 650 but with a smaller engine capacity. Primarily designed for the Japanese home market the XVS 400 has become a popular import into the United Kingdom and USA due to its excellent reputation and low running costs.
