Overview[edit | edit source]

AC Schnitzer F 650CS

The BMW F 650 CS is a new type of motorbike with a very low centre of gravity. Due to this low centre of gravity which lies below the seat, cornering becomes scarving. Here at AC Schnitzer Motorrad-Technik, we have given the F 650 CS an even more sporting outfit on the road for scarving. The engineers at AC Schnitzer first turned their attention to aerodynamics. To complete the sporting impression, a front lip under the two double headlamps has been developed. To ensure that the washer connections are not directly visible, the standard side parts below the stuff bay have been extended down by an extra trim piece. In conjunction with the front lip, the F 650 CS now has an even more harmonious appearance. For the stuff bay, the AC Schnitzer engineers have come up with something different. They have developed a waterproof cover which integrates smoothly into the aesthetics from the cockpit through to the seat.Motorcycling is of course all about simplicity, so the single key system has been retained and the standard BMW lock used. For the AC Schnitzer rear on the F 650 CS, a new eye-catcher was needed and has been found. The luggage bridge and railing were the first to go. The next step was the redesign of the registration plate holder. The result is an almost clear view of the rear wheel and a uniformity of style. To give the right sound to the F 650 CS, the raised AC Schnitzer exhaust is fitted. This is available with or without catalyst, with EC approval or as a racing version. To give the F 650 CS even more stability for extreme cornering, a fork stabiliser has been developed in conjunction with a new design of front mudguard. The AC Schnitzer F 650 CS is available in a special 2-color finish using the original BMW paint colors mandarin/graphite metallic and a special seat style retaining the original design lines.
