The Ardie BD201 was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Ardie between 1954 and 1956. Claimed horsepower was 11.8 HP (8.8 KW) @ 5900 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 64.0mm bore x 61.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 194.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 4-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3-19 front tire and a 3-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic telescopic while the rear was equipped with a twin shock. The BD201 was fitted with a 3.57 Gallon (13.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 288.81 pounds (131.0 Kg).
