The engine was a Air cooled cooled 45° V-Twin, four stroke, pushrod actuated overhead valve, hydraulic self-adjusting lifters, 2 valve per cylinder.. The engine featured a 10.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 170/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single Ø340 mm disc, 6 piston caliper in the front and a Single Ø230 mm disc, 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Ø40 mm Showa fork, adjustable for compression and rebound damping while the rear was equipped with a Single Showa shock, spring preload, compression and preload damping. The S3 Thunderbolt was fitted with a 20.4 L / 5.4 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 219 kg / 483 lbs. The wheelbase was 1397 mm / 55" long.
